WHAT WE'RE DOING
Coastlands Family Church is involved in a number of projects reaching into the community. Some of these projects are run by the Church, others involve us working with other churches.
Our goal is always: Connect with God, connect with each other and connect with the community.

the Community
Vale
Foodbank
There is poverty on our doorstep.
We are working to tackle this and support those experiencing it.
The foodbank at Coastlands is part of the Vale Foodbank. Coastlands is one of eight centres currently serving the community.
When: 1:30-3pm on Mondays|4-5:30pm Thursdays
Where: Coffee Shop
What: We operate as an emergency food provision for those in financial hardship in our local community as part of the Vale Foodbank. In addition to serving meals, we work with many agencies across the Vale of Glamorgan to support people facing the root causes of poverty.
Visitors can expect:
-
A hot meal at the coffee shop
-
A 3-day emergency food parcel
-
Workshops on topics the community cares about
We have a participation worker who provides workshops for those with the lived experience of poverty so their voices are heard. They in turn help us support people most effectively.
